Sneak into an artistic space!
YOKOHAMA ART SPOT FILE

Close to Yokohama Chinatown. A small gallery where wonderful encounters await
art truth

This time, we visited the gallery ``art Truth,'' which is quietly open in a very quiet place that is hard to believe in a corner of Yokohama's Chinatown, which is crowded with many tourists.

The small gallery is based on the concept of ``artworks that you want to display around you'' and ``paintings that you can enjoy living with.''The owner, Mr. Nishikai, carefully selects art works from a variety of genres, with a focus on paintings.

Soft sunlight pours in from the large windows in the front, making the white-based gallery a warm and comfortable space.

There are also tables and chairs, so you can spend a relaxing time admiring the wonderful art works and talking with the artists and Mr. Nishikai.

At the time of our interview, "art Truth" was holding the solo exhibition "Dreaming Devices" by artist Kaori Nagayoshi. This is the fourth exhibition at this gallery. Prints and ceramic works created by artists were lined up as if welcoming visitors.

This is Mr. Nishikai, the gallery owner. He talked about his thoughts on "art truth."

``Our gallery strives to foster and support young artists, but what we value above all else is that we all learn and grow through art, not just the artists, but also our customers and, of course, myself. I want it to be a place where people can do business,” says Nishikai. ``For example, I would be happy if you could come here and encounter a work that will cheer you up and provide food for your soul, just like reading a book quietly by yourself when you are feeling down.I hope you will want to have it near you.'' We will continue to introduce more and more works of art that you will cherish forever."

Eating delicious food in Chinatown, shopping in Motomachi...it's wonderful to just wander around and encounter art that enriches your days. Please come and visit "art Truth" in search of a wonderful encounter.
