Experience a full course of art, nature and healing at the Okada Museum of Art!

The Okada Museum of Art is a sanctuary of beauty, with approximately 450 pieces of modern and ancient art from Japan, China, and Korea, on exhibit. Its wide grounds houses both the museum and a garden, as well as a foot bath cafe with water that flows directly from a spring, for a space that brings art and nature together.

A massive 12 meter high, 30 meter wide mural of Fujin and Denjin, painted by the modern Japanese painter, Kotaro Fukui.

Taking cameras and phones inside is banned, and you can put them into a locker before the reception. There is a security check after entering the building. The mural, "Kaze/Toki" greets you as you enter. Move forward to the first floor exhibit as you look up at Fujin and Raijin. It goes without saying...but the items on exhibit look beautiful no matter how you look at them, thanks to the well thought out illumination and beautiful placement of the items.

Take a short break after seeing everything up to the third floor. To the foot bath cafe!
Same-day re-entry to the museum is allowed. (Your ticket will be checked)

An eating establishment designed after Japanese homes in the beginning of the Showa Period.
Here you can enjoy a meal and tea.

Take a moment to relax as you look out on the garden from inside Kaikatei.
There is even "Shishi-odoshi" and a small waterfall!

[Garden Entrance]

*The mountain stream course is currently closed for fountain maintenance.
All other courses aside from the mountain stream course are open as usual, but are can be used without an entry fee while under maintenance. There will be notification on the Okada Museum of Art homepage when fountain maintenance has been completed.

In the well cared-for and beautiful garden, it is possible to enjoy the changes of the season.
Walk through the garden surrounded with nature, with its mossy rocks, the seasonal plant life, the aroma of the trees, and delicious air. Clear your head in the forest!
We recommend wearing shoes that are easy to move in like sneakers, as you will be climbing rocks and walking steep slopes.

After walking to garden, I haeded head back to the museum. I saw the exhibits on the fourth and fifth floors.

There are souvenirs that can only be found at the Okada Museum of Art, in the museum shop!
The chocolatier, Naoki Miura has created "Okada Museum Chocolate 'Kotaro Fukui Fujin/Denjin'" \4,800 (tax included)HSG©FUKUI 〈Image Source〉Okada Museum of Art

At the museum shop, you can find stationary items, such as picture records and postcards, letter paper, and accessories like hand towels, a must for places with an onsen! The original chocolate from the exclusive chocolatier can only be bought at the Okada Museum of Art, is wonderful!
