Horiuchi Masakazu (1911-2001) was one of the leading abstract sculpture artists in Japan, and had a major impact on the next generation of sculptors. Selected for the 16th Second Course Exhibition at the age of 18 in 1929, while attending Tokyo High School of Technology. Horiuchi, who had longed for abstract sculpture, suspended production during the war, but when he resumed his activities after the war, it was widely introduced overseas as well at the S サ ン パ ウ ロ o Paulo Biennale, India Triennale, and so on. Horiuchi consciously incorporated tactile senses in the field of abstract sculpture, and created works with hints of shapes in and around the body. Among them, it is named after the reverse reading of "NOZOKI", which is completed by the viewer looking into it, such as "Winking MiMi-chan" (1967) and "The crotch of the finger is also crotch" (1968). In the "IKOZON" sculpture, unique eros and humor are fully exhibited.
