Summer festivals（June through August）
When people think of Japanese summer festivals, many bring to mind the Bon dance, portable mikoshi shrines, fireworks, and temple fairs. Traditional festivals are held throughout Japan and lead to a throng of activity. Fireworks festivals are also an opportunity to see many people dressed in cool yukata robes. Locals and tourists alike come together in these exciting festivals, of which there are many. Taking part will let you deepen your exposure to Japanese culture.
