Yokohama Kannai Hall
"Yokohama Kannai Hall (formal name: Yokohama Civic Cultural Center Kannai Hall)" is located on Bashamichi near Kannai Station. Since its opening in 1986, it has been used by more than 300,000 people annually as a hall where entertainment of various genres can be enjoyed.
After undergoing large-scale renovation work to extend the life of the facility from the year before last, it reopened in September last year.
In the renovation work, the design of the façade and lobby/foyer was renewed.
In the large hall, the size of all seats has been increased, and the central block seats have been arranged in a staggered manner, making it easier to see the stage!
What a surprise! Introducing the newly reborn Yokohama Kannai Hall!
First of all, from the appearance.
To get to Yokohama Kannai Hall, get off at JR Kannai Station and walk for about 6 minutes from the North Exit / Get off at Bashamichi Station on the Minatomirai Line and walk for about 5 minutes from Exit 5. Good access near the station!

It's a stylish look that catches the eye!
A future star might be born! ?
"Bashamichi Short Performance Live"
A small stage of about 7m x 3m (21m2) was newly established in front of the impressive red monument on the right side of the front entrance of Yokohama Kannai Hall. Artists such as musicians, dancers, and performers who have passed the pre-screening conducted by the hall will perform at the Bashamichi Short Performance Live. You can enjoy live performances by a variety of artists that transcend genres, whether professional or amateur !
Newly installed digital signage in the front lobby
Digital signage provides information for customers, including performance information at Yokohama Kannai Hall, videos on the history of Bashamichi, pick-up news, and weather forecasts. Even non-users can get the latest information!
In addition, the floor of the front lobby is made of granite with a finish that emphasizes the original rock surface pattern of the stone, creating a calm atmosphere.

foyer window. Sunlight filtering through the trees through the "Nest" creates a bright space.
Paintings depicting the history of Bashamichi are also displayed.
Elevators are installed on each floor. Wheelchair users can use the hall with confidence.
The floor number display board is also easy to see! (Also displayed in English, Chinese and Korean)
By stylizing the entire toilet and increasing the number of toilets, the congestion (especially the women's toilet) is resolved!
This is very important! Crowded women's restrooms in halls and other places are a common sight. I think there are many people who have experienced it. Thanks to the renewed toilet, many people can now use it comfortably! !
Yokohama Kannai Hall has been reborn as a modern hall. There are many places I would like to introduce, so I will end here for this time.
Next time, I would like to introduce the inside of the large hall!
