「Japan-Poland diplomatic relations 100th anniversary Polish poster exhibition」

"Polish-style posters" occupy an unwavering position in the 20th century design history. It was the late 1950s, with the two posters of the Polish posters, Yosef Murosh チ ャ ak (1910-1975) and Henrik Tomashevski (1914-2005), who taught at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, their students, and the graphic designers around them. Refers to posters with excellent design of films, plays, music, circuses, etc. which were produced from the 1970s. At that time, the People's Republic of Poland was a time of one-party dictatorship and economic downturn of the communist united workers' party, but graphic designers produced posters full of creativity that were not caught by commercialism, Not only great influence on graphic design in the world.

The Kanagawa Prefectural Museum of Modern Art is the first in Japan to hold an exhibition to introduce Polish posters at the former Kamakurakan in 1975 and 1980, focusing on the 1960s and 1970s donated by the Polish government. It holds 290 posters. With the cooperation of the Villanuf Poster Museum, which is a branch of the Warsaw National Art Museum, we will investigate them and organize them again, and this year, which will be 100 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Poland, 14 authors representing Polish posters (1 design team Exhibit 176 points).
