「Call for entries for the 21st Kanagawa Biennale International Children's Art Exhibition」
Kanagawa Prefecture draws children's drawings from abroad and in Kanagawa Prefecture in order to foster children's dreams and creativity through pictures, and to understand the lives of children living in different countries and regions and various cultures. International Children's Art Exhibition "Kanagawa Biennale International Children's Art Exhibition" to be recruited and exhibited.
We are looking for painting works of children and students (including foreign schools nationwide) residing in Kanagawa prefecture. The theme is free. We are looking forward to the works drawn on the theme of everyday life, school, friends, and the world. The exhibition of the selected works is scheduled for July 6 to August 22, 2021.
*"Biennale" in the name of the exhibition is in Italian. The meaning is "an art exhibition held every two years". In Italy, there is an international art exhibition called "Venice Biennale" that has been held for over 120 years.

Aers Praza (Kanagawa Prefectural Global Citizen Kanagawa Plaza) is a facility that has three purposes: "cultivation of children's rich sensibilities", "cultivation of global citizenship", and "support for international activities".
We also hold large-scale exhibitions on the theme of connection with the world such as international understanding, peace, and the environment, movie screenings, workshops, study abroad, and education and legal consultation for foreigners.
The permanent exhibition room on the 5th floor is the "International Understanding Exhibition Room for Children," which displays daily life tools, costumes, musical instruments, etc. of the countries of the world, and the "International Peace Exhibition Room," which displays materials on war, conflict, and refugee issues.
It consists of a "Children's Fantasy Exhibition Room" where children can play with their five senses. On the 2nd floor, there are books, videos library, and information forum with books on international understanding and international cooperation activities.
