Currently led by Masato Suzuki, who is very active
Handel "Rinaldo" by Bach Collegium Japan is finally performed! !!
For the performance of "Rinaldo"
A masterpiece "Rinaldo" that Handel wrote triumphantly in the new world of London. We are delighted to be able to perform this fall as the second part of the opera series presented with Bach Collegium Japan.
Baroque operas such as Handel can be said to be the rough stones leading to many masterpiece operas such as Mozart, Wagner and Richard Strauss. In the first place, the musical style of opera itself was established in the Baroque era. Based on the era of the Crusades, Rinaldo is a wonderful entertainment that matches a big historical spectacle with a comical love story.
"Rinaldo" is a work of the era when castrato was active. This time, the world's leading countertenors will gather. It is already like "the festival of the three major countertenors". In addition, Rachel Nichols' Armida who burns rivalry to the beautiful Almirena played by Maki Mori. In addition, the cast who played a big role in the previous "L'incoronazione Poppea", such as Dingle Jandel, who plays the role of Argante, who has a love triangle with them, and Mutsumi Hatano, the wizard, will regroup and have a fun stage that will make you sweat. I will deliver it.
We look forward to traveling back in time to ancient fantasies with you.

Kanagawa Prefectural Music Hall was opened in 1954 as Japan's first full-scale music hall as a public facility. Modeled after the Royal Festival Hall in London, the hall was designed to give the best sound effects, and was praised as "the best sound in the Orient" at the time of its opening, and the sound is still highly evaluated not only in Japan but also overseas. I will. The walls of the hall are all made of "wood", and its acoustic sound continues to impress people even 60 years after its opening. In addition, it was selected as one of the "100 Public Buildings" by the Ministry of Construction in 1998 as an excellent public facility rooted in the region, and in 1999, DOCOMOMO (modern) was selected as an important cultural heritage of the 20th century. It was selected as one of the "20 Modern Movement Architectures in Japan" by an international organization established for the purpose of recording and preserving the formation of buildings and environments related to the movement.
