「"What is a nostalgic and new celluloid doll?" Exhibition」
Celluloid, which appeared as a material before the current plastic material in the late 1800s, was made from that material from the 1860s. It was actively made in Japan until the 1950s, and many children were impressed by its unique touch.
In this exhibition, not only will celluloid dolls be exhibited from various angles such as "materials", "history", and "production process", but also the production background and production background will be focused on the activities of Hirai Toy Mfg. Co., Ltd., which is currently the only celluloid doll in Japan. Introducing "Miko", a lucky charm of Hirai Toy Mfg. Co., Ltd. and a representative doll that shows various faces by painting clothes and faces.

Miko is a small doll that you can take to various places to take pictures. Taking advantage of its charm, Miko will introduce various wonderful places and events in Yokohama.

During the exhibition period, Miko's ZOOM background will be distributed free of charge from the website. Some photos taken by Miko going out to various places in Yokohama are also distributed. Please use all means.
