At the Kanagawa Prefectural Museum of Life and Earth in Odawara City, Kanagawa Prefecture
2021 From February 20th (Sat) to May 9th (Sun), 2021, we will hold a special exhibition "New Species of Mushrooms from Kanagawa".
There are still many "unknown species" of fungi such as mushrooms in our immediate surroundings.
Among the many such unnamed fungal specimens in the museum
Some are found to be new species by subsequent research.
In this special exhibition, mainly products from Kanagawa prefecture
We will exhibit valuable specimens of mushrooms that have been announced as new species in recent years.
In addition, we will collect mushroom specimens and show you the back side of unknown museum activities leading up to the announcement of new species!
