You can learn at school or at home! Special release of original learning videos

News Park (Nippon Shimbun Museum) has released "News Park Learning Video", a video teaching material for elementary school students.

Due to the spread of the new coronavirus, News Park has been unable to visit many schools as before. Therefore, the lecture by a newspaper production manager (former newspaper reporter), which was held in the museum for visitors from schools and other groups, was reconstructed, and along with the introduction of the exhibition, a new "Newspark learning video" was posted on the website. I decided to make it public.
Regular lectures are held on themes such as "Let's make a newspaper," "Let's read a newspaper," and "Newspaper as an information industry." In the video "Introductory version 'What is a newspaper?'" created by the manager, based on his own experience, he used museum exhibits to teach how to read newspapers and the points to make when creating a newspaper. I will explain along the lines. During the production of the video, we received advice from active teachers in Yokohama City. In the future, we will add videos that explain in detail how to make a newspaper, as well as videos that can be used by fifth graders to learn about newspapers as an information industry.
In addition to learning about newspapers through videos, the contents can be used widely, such as for pre- and post-learning before visiting the News Park, and for home study.
First of all, please enjoy the video, and if you want to see more or learn more, please come visit us at News Park.
