"Embroidery" is sewn stitch by stitch by hand. In addition to the various expressions created by threads and cloth, it is a dense expression technique that integrates the time spent in the production and the physicality of the creator.
This exhibition focuses on this embroidery and introduces its charm through about 230 works in a wide range of fields. While crossing various fields such as Central and Eastern European folk costumes, Inuit wall hangings, original drawings and illustrations of modern picture books, paintings, and French haute couture embroidery, it still captures our hearts even now, transcending time and region. Explore the charm of embroidery.
