Exhibition of results of joint research on deep-sea exploration using small underwater drones
- Period: 2021.03.20-2021.04.11End of event
Sagami Bay is not only a familiar sea, but also a sea area that has been actively researched since ancient times. Since 2019, Enoshima Aquarium and FullDepth have been conducting deep-sea surveys of Sagami Bay using underwater drones.
By joining hands with aquariums and underwater drone manufacturers, it has become possible to take on the challenge of deep-sea exploration, which is difficult to do alone. We aim to create an exhibition that conveys "new discoveries and charms" that can be obtained by going to the deep sea floor and actually observing and capturing the seabed and the creatures that live there.
In addition to displaying the results of the joint deep-sea exploration project so far, we will exhibit the living organisms that have been confirmed and captured, as well as a photo panel exhibition and an exhibition of the actual underwater drone that was actually used in the survey.
We will continue to take on the challenge of researching new sea areas and developing fishing equipment.
