Spring Special Exhibition "Modern Hiratsuka Women"

Opened in 1976, the museum operates under the theme of "Nature and Culture of the Sagami River Basin." It is not limited to the administrative district of Hiratsuka City, but has a broad perspective that includes the surrounding areas and responds to a wide range of learning needs. It is a comprehensive museum of the region, covering the fields of history, folklore, archaeology, astronomy, biology, geology, and art.



Based on the principle of citizen collaboration, various working groups have been formed and independent learning activities are being carried out.
