Kamakura Noh stage

Kamakura Noh stage

The Kamakura Noh Stage was founded on May 3, 1970, in Hase, Kamakura, by the late Shozo Nakamori, with the aim of contributing to the advancement of culture through the public display and promotion of Noh, a traditional Japanese performing art. (Completion was in April 1971.) Currently, Kanta Nakamori has succeeded him and is at the forefront of its operations. In addition to holding regular performances, "Noh wo Shiru Kai"®, it also operates as a Noh Museum, exhibiting and displaying the stage, Noh masks, Noh costumes, etc. It is also available for use for exhibitions and other events. On November 1, 2011, it was certified as a public interest incorporated foundation by Kanagawa Prefecture.

Furthermore, since 2009, the building has been open to the public as the "Noh Theater Museum." Visitors can see exhibits of Noh stages, Noh masks, and Noh costumes.
