There is a "road" that you want to peep and walk.
deep culture street
To the place I've always wanted to go after hearing rumors.
"Yokohama is interesting!" There should be such a discovery here.
LET'S GO Yoshidacho!!
About 3 minutes on foot from the north exit of Municipal Subway/JR Kannai Station. Close to Isezaki Mall and Noge Town!

"Yoshida-cho" is located in the center of Yokohama between Isezaki-cho and Noge-cho. In recent years, it has been attracting attention as a city with a different “face” during the day and at night.
Immediately after entering the Yoshida-cho area from Kannai Station. This is a rental gallery "Gallery Miro" where you can exhibit and present various art such as paintings, prints, and ceramics.
At the time of the interview, the organizers of the group exhibition at "Gallery Miro". Once a year in October, when the weather is nice, members living in Kanagawa who love painting It seems that they are holding a group exhibition for a week at this gallery. Nice!

Boichido Sports, a sporting goods store with a long history, celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. The owner, Shuichi Yasuda, said, "The roadside trees have also been maintained, making it a convenient and easy-to-walk town."

While walking, I found a stylish shop!

This is a slightly unique style shop "Archiship Library & Café" with a book cafe on the 1st floor and a design office on the 2nd floor.

You can enjoy coffee and tea made with care while reading architecture-related photo books and magazines. I had a tea break in the middle of the interview, and it was really delicious.
By the way, books with this bookmark in this collection are recommended by the staff working on the 2nd floor. "R" for recommendation (recommended)!

This is from the owner's art collection. Customers are greeted from the stairs. The first floor is also a rental space, so events are said to be held.

Now let's go further. As expected of Yoshida Town, where there are many galleries! Hayakawa Art Supply Store, a specialty store with a wide variety of painting materials such as picture frames and paints, is right in the center of the main street.

When framing your own work, it's convenient to have a specialty store like this nearby.
[Business] 10:30-19:30, Sundays and holidays only 14:00-19:30 [TEL] 045-261-3321
Further walking...

The sudden appearance of a greengrocer is another interesting aspect of this town. At the storefront of “Fujiya Ono Seikaten”, seasonal fruits and vegetables are plentiful.
"People who buy ingredients for dinner, people who come to see the exhibition, people who come to drink... I think the charm of Yoshida-cho is that there are all kinds of people coming and going," says the second president of the fruit and vegetable store.
[Business] 9:00-21:00, closed on Sundays and holidays [TEL] 045-261-2084

Fukutomicho Park also has a long slide, where children enjoy playing until dusk. I also met a kind mother and son feeding bread to a flock of pigeons.
On the back road, such an encounter ♡
If you walk down another alley, you'll see a shop in the distance that definitely feels out of place in the old townscape... "What? What kind of shop?"
Bright blue building. This was “Restaurant Sparta”, which was founded in 1953 and is known as the first restaurant in Japan to serve authentic Greek cuisine.

The inside of the store is also a bright space with white and light blue as the keynote.
[Business] 11:30-15:00, 17:00-23:00, closed for lunch only on Mondays (closed the next Tuesday if Monday is a public holiday) [TEL] 045-253-1645
The time is 5:00 in the evening. Just as I was thinking that the “night” of Yoshida-cho is about to begin, I discovered a store that caught my attention, just one block away from the main street!! Without calling out to Mr., I entered the store as if being drawn in, and before I knew it, I was ordering "Draft beer!" (Thank you, cameraman, for taking such a picture of me ~ Tears)

It is "Standing drinking place Kurando". I happened to be there when the store opened, so it's a big deal (laughs). The regulars on their way home from work also came and everyone said, "Good job!"
[Sales] 17:00-23:00 [TEL] 045-261-3357
…So, I went to two restaurants that regulars I met at “Tachinomidokoro Kurodo” told me, “It’s delicious!” and “It’s a good restaurant!” Here is the first one.

The Italian restaurant "Chiki Chiki & Tan Tan" has been open for 15 years. A restaurant that values “delicious food prepared with care at a low price”. It is said that there are many customers who come all the way from other prefectures. I listened to the story while eating the appetizer platter, and it was a really delicious dish that I could see that each dish was carefully made. (Next time, let's enjoy a leisurely dinner! By the way, they are also open for lunch.)
[Business] 12:00-15:00, 17:00-1:00 (Sundays only-22:00), Closed on Mondays [TEL] 045-260-2670
And this is where I stopped by at the end of the interview.

Bar "TOWSER". Even though it's a classic restaurant, the bartenders will talk to you in a friendly way, so even if it's your first time, you can feel at ease.
I had the vodka-based cocktail "Cosmopolitan"! It was refreshing and delicious with lime juice. It's open until 3:00 am on weekdays and 3:00 pm on Sundays and public holidays.
[Business] Monday-Saturday 17:00-3:00, Sundays and holidays 15:00-24:00 [TEL] 045-263-3311
Oh no ~ the shop I found, everyone I met, it was fun, kind and fun ~. In addition to the shops introduced here, "Yoshida-cho" is crowded with other businesses such as chicken dealers (meat), galleries, bars, restaurants, and tea houses (tea shop). Be sure to stop by on your day off or on your way home from work to see the different faces during the day and night!
