A museum that introduces the culture and history of Kanagawa.
The building with the bronze dome as its symbol was built in 1904 as the main branch of Yokohama Specie Bank and is currently designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan.
In the permanent exhibition room, we divide prehistory to modern times into five themes and introduce them with a wealth of materials. There are also special exhibitions held several times a year, as well as collection exhibitions centered on museum collections that are free to view. The corridor on the first floor is a free zone, and there is a museum library, shop, cafe Tomoshibi, etc.
