A flower and green park located between Motomachi Shopping Street and the Yamate district, one of Yokohama's representative tourist spots. It is the nation's first three-dimensional urban park*, and there are buildings with convenience facilities and hands-on learning facilities in the park.
The first floor of the building is directly connected to the Motomachi-Chukagai station building, and when you take the elevator to the roof, you will find a lawn decorated with seasonal flowers such as roses and lavenders.
This is a great photo spot where you can see the Marine Tower and Bay Bridge.
We also hold events such as an environmental learning program (Hachiiku*) on the theme of honeybees raised in the park, disaster prevention education and hands-on learning classes, and events in collaboration with the local community. Among them, the flower and green market that heralds the beginning of summer, the beer garden where you can enjoy fireworks on the lawn, the Halloween walk that is crowded with families, and the winter illumination that fills the park with light are familiar to everyone as a tradition of Yamate.
*Three-dimensional urban parks: Parks established by applying the “three-dimensional urban park system” institutionalized based on the revision of the Urban Park Law
*Hachi-iku: Raising honeybees in parks operated and managed by Seibu Landscape, implementing environmental education programs that take advantage of the characteristics of honeybees, and promoting regional cooperation and regional development, such as product development using honey collected from honey.
