Small valleys called yato, which have been carved into the hills over time, yato paddy fields that use the spring water from the valleys, and forests and satoyama that envelop people's lives. Satoyama is a nostalgic landscape for us, and has nurtured many precious animals and plants in a natural environment that has been continuously maintained by humans. Prefectural Shikinomori Park is a park that preserves the rich nature of Satoyama, even though it is located in the city of Yokohama. Beginning with the light sprouts of miscellaneous trees in early spring, the dazzling summer, colorful autumn, and winter scenery, you can enjoy the flowers, creatures, and satoyama scenery of each season. The park covers an area of 45.3 hectares, and in the vast forest, there are facilities that convey village life such as paddy fields, water mills, and charcoal burning huts, as well as fountains and flower beds that make use of the undulations of the hills, an observatory, a jumbo slide, and an outdoor stage. - There are recreational facilities such as a playground, a playground, and a jabu-jabu pond.
