``Gekimeshi'', where the restaurant you usually eat at is transformed into the stage of a drama, is currently being performed to great acclaim!
At the Kanagawa performance, I heard that Yuji Ota and Yuki Hayashi, who are active as reporters for the popular TVK (TV Kanagawa) program ``Neko no Hitai Hodo Wide,'' were appearing, so I had the opportunity to tour Genepro.
The venue was a restaurant that had been open as usual until recently. The play unfolds using the entire store as a stage, so you can watch the passionate performances of the actors who are usually on the stage or on the other side of the screen, right in front of you or right next to you, as if you could just reach out your hand. You can watch the theater from a distance!
As I was sitting down and talking with my friend, a suspicious customer came into the store.
The store staff are chatting at the counter... No, this is also the stage for a drama. Even when the conversation is not in close-up, time passes for each character and the story progresses, so you can keep your eyes on everyone 360 degrees.
When I suddenly looked outside, I saw a suspicious figure looking inside the store.
The selfish thoughts of various people are intricately intertwined, and the drama gradually heats up!
The scenes of actors running around the store are so impressive that you might think, ``The actors are attacking!'' So, what's the ending...?

Please tell us your honest impressions of appearing in “Gekimeshi”
Ota: Anyway, the customers are close (lol). The audience's reaction is different for each performance, so I'm trying to respond to that and not be dragged down by it.
Hayashi is fun! It was my first experience performing in a restaurant, so the way my voice sounded would be different than in a theater, and I had no idea what to expect. But once it starts, you can tell that the audience is having a lot of fun, so we're having fun along with them.
How is it different from ordinary theater?
OtaWhile I'm careful not to block the customer's view, I also don't want to disappear, so I'm also careful about where I stand. Even when there are no lines, time continues to flow for the characters, so they are constantly acting.
Hayashi: Because he's always among the audience, it feels like he's being watched from 360 degrees. I think that's interesting.
Ota : I'm nervous about what I'll do if a customer talks to me (lol). Unexpected things may happen, so don't forget to be mentally prepared to handle whatever happens.
Hayashi : There's a sense of tension. The setting is that the customers are involved in the incidents that occur at the store. In that sense, I think everyone will enjoy the feeling of becoming the characters.
Ota: Even though I'm worried that something might happen, I might find myself expecting something to happen (lol).
Hayashi That's right! There is a possibility of all kinds of happenings happening, so please enjoy the “live” feeling!
