Kamakura Noh stage
The Kamakura Noh Stage was founded in Hase, Kamakura City on May 3, 1970, by the late Nakamori Shozo (completed in April 1971) with the goal of contributing to the advancement of culture by showcasing and promoting Japan's traditional performing art, Nohgaku. Currently, Nakamori Kanta has taken over as the central figure. In addition to holding regular performances, "Nohgaku Shishiru Kai," the Nohgaku Museum displays the stage, Noh masks, Nohgaku costumes, and more. It can also be used for exhibitions. On November 1, 2011, the Kanagawa Prefecture certified the organization as a public interest incorporated foundation.
Additionally, the building has been open to the public as a Nohgaku Museum since 2009, where visitors can see exhibits of Noh stages, Noh masks, and Noh costumes. |
