A special performance from Kanagawa, the birthplace of Japanese ballet
The full-length Swan Lake, directed and choreographed by the world-famous Vladimir Malakhov, will be performed by a star-studded cast including Mizuka Ueno and Yasuo Atsuji. It has been about 100 years since Eliana Pavlova, the mother of Japanese ballet, opened Japan's first ballet school in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture. The venue is Kanagawa Prefectural Hall, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2025. Malakhov's version is a dramatic version that fuses dance and storytelling in a high realm, further enhancing the charm of Swan Lake, which is synonymous with ballet. Even those who are watching ballet for the first time will enjoy it. Please look forward to this memorable special performance.
