Reiwa 6th All Japan Chinese Poetry Competition Kanagawa Tournament
The Kanagawa Prefecture Chinese Poetry Federation and the All Japan Chinese Poetry Federation are calling on Chinese poetry enthusiasts throughout the country to submit seven-character quatrains on the subject of "Something Related to the Port" or a free subject. Based on the results of the judging, the competition will award special prizes including the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award, as well as outstanding works and selected works.
In addition, a commemorative lecture entitled "The History of Suzhou and Chinese Poetry" will be given by Professor Masaaki Washino (Professor Emeritus, Kokushikan University) and Chairman of the All Japan Chinese Poetry Federation.
In addition, members of the Gakuseiryu Nihon Gin'in Temple will perform a recitation entitled "Poetry of Kanagawa," which will take us on a journey from Hakone to Yokohama, accompanied by excellent Chinese poems that describe Hakone, Shonan, Enoshima, Kamakura, Hayama, and Yokohama.
