Things! Things? Forum Connections of hare and ke
~Cultural prescription created by citizens, Kawasaki City, and Tokyo University of the Arts~
"Koto! Koto? Kawasaki," which started in April, is currently expanding its activities throughout the city of Kawasaki with 40 art communicators, or "Koto-lers," aiming to create a society where everyone can be themselves and form loose connections with others.
As we go about our daily lives, the interactions we have on special days and the places in the city where we can easily participate on an ongoing basis are both important forms of community. Koto! Koto? Kawasaki hopes to realize the "best city" that Kawasaki City aspires to by reexamining these two aspects of community.
In this forum, we will welcome the President of Tokyo University of the Arts and the Mayor of Kawasaki as guests to deepen our understanding of and possibilities for the community of everyday and extraordinary "hare and ke" that has emerged from this year's efforts, and the shape of a city where people with diverse values can share their own enjoyment.
* "Hare" refers to special occasions such as celebrations, and "ke" refers to everyday things.
