Located in a blessed environment with Yamashita Park, Yokohama Port, and Chinatown, the museum was established in 1975 as one of the largest cultural facilities in Japan, and as a space for enjoying international-level music, performing arts, and fine arts. It hosts a wide range of performances, mainly by artists active around the world, and strives to create and promote art and culture.
