Kawasaki Civic Plaza

Kawasaki Civic Plaza was established to promote the health and culture of its citizens, provide a place for citizens to interact with each other, and contribute to the public relations of citizens' welfare. It is a versatile facility with Japanese-style rooms, meeting rooms, a Go and Shogi room, a gymnasium, a training room, a teahouse, a Japanese garden, a restaurant, and a bathroom. In addition, it offers sports schools and hobby classes that are open to people of all ages, and you can participate in a wide variety of classes.

The Furusato Theater, a medium-sized hall with 489 seats, is used for various events such as music, theater, and dance, and the indoor plaza hosts events from time to time. The heated swimming pool is available all year round and has two types of pool: a 25m pool with five lanes and a children's pool. The 25m pool is usually used by schools depending on the lanes, and the remaining lanes are designated as "one-way (swimming)" or "free swimming (swimming and walking)", but during the summer holidays, all lanes are open to the public. Because there are set rules, it is also popular with people who want to swim properly and those who want to stay healthy.
