I can hear the past, like an echo.

Donkame Seimen, a udon restaurant that has been in business in the city of Odawara for 70 years, is a long-established restaurant with many employees.
The owner is particular about using hand-made noodles and was kneading the udon noodles with great care.
Then their eldest daughter, who was supposed to be living in Tokyo, returned home.
The store owner, her father, had mixed feelings about his daughter's sudden visit.
The distant past still reverberates today.
I know that someday I will stop hearing it, that it will happen, but it still won't leave my ears.
