KAAT Stage Technology Course 2025 "Learn the Power to Realize" ~Hair and Makeup~
When creating a work, designers of art, lighting, sound, video, costumes, etc. make various proposals and draw up plans in line with the director's intentions, aiming for a better performance. Then, based on that plan, various technicians use their specialized skills to actually give it shape. What technologies are used and what kind of work is carried out?
KAAT Kanagawa Arts Theatre will provide a place to learn about the "power to realize" by holding courses focusing on the technicians who materialize various designs and plans, for those studying performing arts, young people involved in performing arts, theater managers who want to learn about the creative process, and producers. We would like to hold such courses.
This time, we will be holding a lecture on the world of hair and makeup, which is created while considering the relationship with costume and sometimes stage design, and communicating with actors, in order to embody the director's intentions, with Yoko Kawamura, who has been involved in productions and locations such as KAAT and numerous theaters and filmings as a hair and makeup artist on site, as the lecturer.
