Kawasaki Civic Plaza

Kawasaki Citizens' Plaza was established to promote the health and culture of citizens, provide opportunities for interaction among them, and contribute to the public awareness of citizen welfare. It is a versatile facility equipped with Japanese-style rooms, conference rooms, Go and Shogi rooms, a gymnasium, a training room, a tea room, a Japanese garden, a restaurant, and bathrooms. In addition, it offers sports schools and hobby classes that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, with a wide variety of classes available.

The Furusato Theater, a hall boasting 489 seats, is a medium-sized venue used for various events including music, theater, and dance performances, and events are held regularly in the indoor plaza. The heated swimming pool is open year-round and consists of two types of pools: a 25-meter pool with five lanes and a children's pool. Normally, the 25-meter pool is used by swimming schools by course, with the remaining lanes designated as "one-way (swimming)" or "play swimming (swimming and walking)," but all lanes are open to the public during the summer holidays. Because rules are set, it is highly popular with people who want to swim seriously or for health reasons.
