Kawasaki Civic Plaza

Kawasaki Civic Plaza was established to promote the health and culture of its citizens, provide a place for citizens to interact with each other, and contribute to the promotion of civic welfare. It is a versatile facility with a Japanese-style room, conference rooms, a Go and Shogi room, a gymnasium, a training room, a tea room, a Japanese garden, a restaurant, and a bathroom. It also offers sports schools and hobby classes open to people of all ages, offering a wide variety of classes.

The Furusato Theater, a medium-sized hall with a seating capacity of 489, is used for a variety of events, including music, theater, and dance, and the indoor plaza hosts events from time to time. The heated swimming pool is available year-round and has two pools: a 25m pool with five lanes and a children's pool. The 25m pool is usually used by schools depending on the lanes, and the remaining lanes are designated as "one-way (swimming)" or "free swimming (swimming, walking)", but during the summer holidays all lanes are open to the public. Because of the set rules, the pool is also popular with those who want to swim properly and those looking to stay healthy.
