Early Winter Special Exhibition & 35th Anniversary of the Museum's Opening: "Yamaguchi Hoshun and Haruko - The Story of Two People Beginning in 1926"
This film follows the 100-year journey of Japanese painter Hoshun Yamaguchi and his wife Haruko, who married in 1926, and focuses on Hayama, a place they both deeply loved, in the postwar era.
This exhibition features representative works by Hoshun, as well as newly discovered masterpieces painted by Haruko during her time as a painter. While introducing the charm of our museum, where the aesthetic sensibilities cultivated by the two artists still breathe life into the place, we will trace the paths they have walked and explore the possibilities for the museum's future.
