Historical Exploration: "Exploring the Villa Culture and History of Oiso, the Birthplace of Shonan"
In addition to a special tour of the former residence of Japanese painter Fumiko Hori and the Oiso Guest House, a nationally registered tangible cultural property, participants will stroll through historical sites in Oiso that were beloved by artists and politicians, such as Takarai Shrine, a sacred site where Shinto and Buddhism were intertwined, and the Meiji Memorial Oiso Residence and Garden, while listening to explanations from a lecturer.
