SUPER OPEN STUDIO 2026

Launched in 2013, "SUPER OPEN STUDIO (hereinafter referred to as SOS)" is a project that opens the studios of artists in and around Sagamihara City to the public for a limited time. In this area, where several art universities are located, many artists stay on-site and create their works in studios converted from warehouses and abandoned factories. In this place, which can be called "one of the leading art production areas in Japan," various projects are being developed by utilizing the network that studios and artists have built together.
This year, we will once again be holding a variety of events, centered around studio tours, including a "Studio Visit Bus Tour" where you can tour the studios with artists, and a "Studio Stamp Rally" where you can collect original stamps from each studio. In our publication "Studio and ' ' Space," we will feature artists' "tools" and continue to hold the "Super Art Market" to encourage interaction between artists and visitors. We will also be introducing new projects such as "Around the Studio! STUDIO MAP," which suggests a walking route around the studios along with recommendations for spots near the studios, and "SOS moment," a series of short videos that focus on aspects of artists' lives other than their creative process.
We look forward to your visit to our studio, where artists create their work on a daily basis, and we hope you will have the opportunity to encounter new surprises and discoveries.

<Studio Visit Bus Tour>
Dates: November 22nd (Sun), 23rd (Mon), 28th (Sat), and 29th (Sun) - 4 days
Hours: 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM, 2 flights per day (11:00 AM - 2:00 PM, 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM)
Price: 800 yen (free for preschool children), capacity: 18 people
First-come, first-served basis; children under elementary school age must be accompanied by a guardian.
