At Kanagawa Kenmin Hall Gallery, we will hold a solo exhibition of Enrico Isamu Oyama, an up-and-coming artist based in New York who is attracting more and more attention for his new works and works. The exhibition, entitled "Noctilucent Cloud," will feature one of the largest works ever, utilizing the vast and distinctive space of 1300 square meters, which is the largest in the prefecture, with 5 rooms including 2D, 3D, sound, and installation. And this year is the 20th anniversary of the composer and pianist Toshi Ichiyanagi becoming the Intendant of the Foundation. On this occasion, we are planning a collaboration between Ichiyanagi and Oyama, who have been in New York for their artistic activities. Starting from the motif "Quick Turn Structure", which is a reinterpretation of the visual of aerosol writing, he develops expressions that cross the media and attracts attention in the field of contemporary art. Born in Tokyo in 1983 to an Italian father and a Japanese mother, he grew up there. Graduated from Keio University Faculty of Environment and Information Studies in 2007. In 2009, completed the Department of Advanced Art Expression, Graduate School of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts. In 2011, he went to the United States at the invitation of the Asian Cultural Council. Based in New York since 2012. Held solo exhibitions at the Yamato Japan-UK Foundation (London), Marianna Kistler Beach Museum (Kansas), Pola Museum of Art (Hakone), Nakamura Keith Haring Museum (Yamanashi), and Tower 49 Gallery (New York).
