The Ferris University School of Music was established in 1989. Currently, about 300 students are studying at the school, and about 20 are further studying at the Graduate School of Music.
The campus is divided into two parts: Yamate in Naka Ward, Yokohama, the birthplace of Ferris, and Ryokuen (Izumi Ward, Yokohama), which was opened in 1988. Ferris Hall, the main venue for concerts, is located on the Yamate Campus.
