This is an old private house built over 75 years ago in Jochiji Yato, about a 10-minute walk from Kita-Kamakura Station. It was once a busy place as a pottery studio, and a wood-fired pottery kiln still remains in the garden. We hold a number of workshops and classes that give you a feel of Kamakura, such as making Japanese sweets, pottery making, tea classes, yoga, stargazing, plant observation, and cooking classes. Enjoy a moment where you forget about everyday life in a space surrounded by the sound of birds and green trees.
We hold programs that are particular about ``Japanese'' and ``nature,'' which are typical of Kamakura. The attached Takara no Niwa Gallery sells works by artists based here (pottery, miscellaneous goods, small items, accessories, etc.). We also carry smoked cheese and nuts from Kita-Kamakura Smoking Workshop.
