Hakone is a place where you can enjoy the magnificent nature of each season. Opened in 1969, the Hakone Open Air Museum took advantage of the natural surroundings and was the first open-air museum in Japan. Approximately 120 masterpieces by modern and contemporary sculptors are permanently displayed in a 70,000 square meter lush garden overlooking the mountains of Hakone. You can take a close look at your favorite works, take a leisurely stroll, and interact with art in your own way. There is also an indoor exhibition hall and natural hot spring footbath, including the Picasso Pavilion, where over 300 of the world's most famous collections are open to the public, so you can spend a relaxing and enriching time.
