Experience the history of Yokohama in its entirety
This popular museum features a circular permanent exhibition room with no set route through which visitors can explore, and extensive special exhibitions that are held five to six times a year.
This is the only museum that covers the history of Yokohama from the primitive and ancient times to modern times. A variety of events are also held, including a craft workshop called "Rekishi Kobo" and lectures and seminars.
In addition, next to the museum is the Otsuka-Saikado Ruins Park, where a Yayoi period village, including pit dwellings, has been restored. Volunteer guides are available to give explanations about the ruins park at any time.
Please come and experience it!
