Yokohama City Museum of History

Yokohama City Museum of History

Experience the history of Yokohama in its entirety

This popular museum features a circular permanent exhibition room with no set route to follow, and extensive special exhibitions that are held five to six times a year.
This is the only museum that covers the history of Yokohama from primitive times and ancient times to modern times. It also hosts a variety of events, including craft workshops called "History Workshops," as well as lectures and seminars.
Adjacent to the museum is the Otsuka-Saikado Ruins Park, where a Yayoi period village, including pit dwellings, has been restored. Volunteer guides are available to give explanations about the ruins park at any time.
Please come and experience it!
