Kanagawa Prefectural Gallery 2024 Special Exhibition "Sleep well, child, where a good child sleeps"
Now, Kamikawa Prefectural Civic Hall will close its 50-year history and go to sleep for the time being.
Following "Dream/Land" (2022) and "Taste/Place" (2023), this exhibition "Sleep Good Child, Where Good Children Sleep" adds the keywords "good child" and "sleep" to the concept of "place" and introduces five cutting-edge artists from each region, selected by five curators. These artists develop the concepts of "good child" and "sleep" as the way humans are in modern society as expressions of contemporary art and performance. By confronting these works, viewers will have an opportunity to think about how the concept of "good" changes from time to time, what the meaning of "sleeping" is, and about a good society and a good life.
