70th Memorial Chikuseisha Book Exhibition

An exhibition of calligraphy works by members of the calligraphy group Chikusei-sha who are council members or above.
This is the 70th anniversary exhibition, and features large works, mainly 2 x 8 shaku and 3 x 8 shaku pieces.
As a special project, a two-person exhibition by Shimazu Hekikaku and Niwa Sosho will be held.
There will also be selected works from top prize winners in the general category of last year's open exhibition.

Yokohama Civic Gallery
Yokohama Civic Gallery was opened in 1964 and was called "Yokohama's first art museum" at the time. This facility was opened in response to the desire of local art lovers, and for nearly half a century, it has been widely introducing art to the citizens of Yokohama. To mark its 50th anniversary, the facility was relocated and reopened in the fall of 2014. |
