Opera Theatre Konnyakuza Performance Opera "Metamorphosis"
The script centers around the story of "The Metamorphosis," and weaves in elements of Kafka's diaries and letters, the streets of Prague, and the atmosphere of the era. Composer Hayashi Hikaru has given each scene a title such as "chanson," "blues," or "pop song," and weaves the story together with a variety of music.
The opera "Metamorphosis" premiered in 1996 and was also performed in Prague in 2009.
New direction by Uemura Satoshi.
