The Legend of Yamato Takeru in Isogo Told Through Kagura ~Special Edition of the Isogo Cultural Resources Excavation Team~
There are many legends surrounding Yamato Takeru in the Kanto region, but here in Sugita, there is a legend that is not found in the Kojiki or Nihon Shoki. On their way to the Boso Peninsula, Takeru and his companions are engulfed in rough waves due to the wrath of the sea god. His wife, Ototachibanahime, decides to become a human sacrifice for her beloved husband.
After that, Yamato Takeru washed up near the Isogo Myohoji Temple. This time, we have invited Reverend Matsumoto Jie of Myohoji Temple to tell us the story of the hero Yamato Takeru.
