Japan-France Collaborative Contemporary Circus "DADDA" 2025 Yokohama Edition
Setouchi Circus Factory, a pioneer of contemporary circus in Japan with 14 years of experience in site-specific productions, is taking on the challenge of a theatrical version of a contemporary circus! Starting with Ryunosuke Akutagawa's "The Spider's Thread," the show will express the central themes of the story - sin and punishment, hell and paradise, and the single thread that connects life - through the use of circus bodies, gravity, and circular movement. It will also be interesting to see how natural materials such as stone, wood, and paper, which are signatures of Setouchi Circus Factory, are used in the circus.
