Kasuya Forest Contemporary Art Museum

Kasuya Forest Contemporary Art Museum

Our museum opened in April 1994 as a private contemporary art museum. To make contemporary art, which may be unfamiliar to many, more accessible, we primarily hold solo exhibitions of currently active artists, as well as seminars, tea ceremonies, symposiums, and concerts. We strive to create a space where visitors can enjoy themselves in their own way. Please take a break from your daily routine and relax in our tea lounge surrounded by a bamboo grove.

In addition to special exhibitions held every two to three months, the museum permanently displays works by artists such as Nam June Paik and Lee Ufan, as well as a collection of works by Joseph Beuys (Germany), one of the leading post-war artists whose works are rarely seen in Japan.
