Our museum opened in April 1994 as a private contemporary art museum. In order to make less familiar contemporary art more accessible to visitors, we hold seminars, tea ceremonies, symposiums, concerts, and more, focusing on solo exhibitions of current artists. We strive to create a space where visitors can enjoy their time in their own way. Take a break from your daily routine and spend a relaxing time in our tea lounge surrounded by bamboo forest.
In addition to special exhibitions held every two to three months, the museum also has a permanent exhibition of works by Nam June Paik, Lee Ufan, and others, centered around the collection of Joseph Beuys (Germany), one of the most representative postwar artists whose work is rarely seen in Japan.
