1761studio opened in 2015 in Hiratsuka, Shonan, as a shared atelier for young artists, with the aim of creating a place where anyone can express themselves freely. Currently, it is not only an atelier, but also hosts regular events such as a gallery and workshops.
1761studio also employs 11 artists, all of whom are active in their own fields, including a painter, blacksmith, lacquer artist, poet, novelist, dancer, curator, sculptor, art director and designer.
