1761studio opened in Hiratsuka, Shonan in 2015 as a shared studio for young artists, with the aim of creating "a hub where everyone can freely express themselves." Currently, it operates not only as a studio but also as a gallery and regularly hosts workshops and other events.
Furthermore, 1761studio has 11 diverse artists who are active in their respective fields, including painters, blacksmiths, lacquer artists, poets, novelists, dancers, curators, sculptors, art directors, and designers.
