1761studio opened in 2015 in Hiratsuka, Shonan, as a shared studio for young artists, with the aim of creating a place where anyone can express themselves freely. Currently, it is not only a studio, but also hosts regular events such as a gallery and workshops.
1761studio also employs 11 artists active in a variety of fields, including painters, blacksmiths, lacquer artists, poets, novelists, dancers, curators, sculptors, art directors, and designers.
