Kanagawa Museum of Modern Literature

This museum opened in 1984. During this time, we have focused on literary exhibitions, including large-scale exhibitions by genre, such as popular literature, children's literature, and poetry, as well as exhibitions by individual authors such as Natsume Soseki, Akutagawa Ryunosuke, Izumi Kyoka, the Arishima Brothers, Mushanokoji Saneatsu, Kawabata Yasunari, Dazai Osamu, Yoshikawa Eiji, and Yamamoto Shugoro, and more than 50 special exhibitions, including literary walks through Kanagawa Prefecture divided into areas such as Kamakura, Yokohama, and Kawasaki.
