Our literary museum opened in 1984. Since then, we have held over 50 special exhibitions, including large-scale exhibitions categorized by genre such as popular literature, children's literature, and poetry, as well as exhibitions on individual authors such as Natsume Soseki, Akutagawa Ryunosuke, Izumi Kyoka, the Arishima brothers, Mushanokoji Saneatsu, Kawabata Yasunari, Dazai Osamu, Yoshikawa Eiji, and Yamamoto Shugoro, and exhibitions of literary walks divided by region in Kanagawa Prefecture, such as Kamakura, Yokohama, and Kawasaki.
