At JEREMY'S, starting December 16, 2017, we will be holding a one-hour live performance once a month on Saturdays from 2:00 to 3:00 PM, featuring jazz flute and improvisation, with a pay-what-you-want system.
Our shop's interior is inspired by the New York coffee houses of the 1950s and 60s that Jeremy often painted. Jeremy began playing in coffee houses while still in high school, and he said he "used to hang out there after school, drawing on napkins and spending time with the shop's staff and performers." There, customers would tip hats that were passed around, making it a place that could be considered the roots of the musician Jeremy Steig. In memory of him, we hope you will enjoy the creative and individualistic flute music of contemporary flutists while reflecting on the young Jeremy. (Due to building limitations, we use an electronic piano.)
