British House in Yokohama

British House in Yokohama

It was built in 1937 as the official residence of the British Consul General. It is a two-story reinforced concrete building with a dignified British design, and the high position of the doorknob suggests that it was once occupied by British people. It is adjacent to the rose garden of Minato-no-Meru-Oka Park, and is filled with the scent of colorful roses in May and June, as well as October and November.
