Narukawa Art Museum

Narukawa Art Museum

A museum specializing in contemporary Japanese paintings, built on a hill overlooking Lake Ashi. In addition to holding a large collection of artists such as Kyuto Yamamoto, Ikuo Hirayama, and Fumiko Hori, the museum also houses and exhibits many outstanding works by talented contemporary Japanese painters (displays are changed three times a year). In addition, traditional crafts such as kaleidoscopes, Noh masks, and lacquer are also on display.

From the 50-meter-long panoramic observation lounge, you can enjoy a picturesque view of Lake Ashi and Mt. Fuji created by the changing seasons. We would be happy if we could provide visitors with a moment of peace with masterpieces of modern Japanese paintings and Hakone's best views.

<Access> From Hakone Tozan Railway "Hakone Yumoto Station" or JR "Odawara Station" take the bus bound for "Hakone-machi Port" in front of the "Moto-Hakone Port" stop
